Solar and wind in Donegal: what to know
Solar in Donegal
Modern panels generate from daylight, not just direct sun, and the long summer days in the north-west help solar pay its way in Donegal.
Wind on the coast
Exposed sites along the Atlantic coast and on the hills can suit a domestic turbine or a solar and wind hybrid. We assess your site first.
Farms and rural businesses
Sheep and beef farms across Donegal have large shed roofs that suit solar, and TAMS adds a 60% grant for farmers.
